April Anthony
Chief Executive Officer

April founded Encompass in 1998 as her second successful home health venture. She has brought the company to the forefront of the home care industry through her strategic guidance, principled leadership, and overriding passion of caring for the elderly and medically fragile.

Her extensive knowledge in home care management and operations has been critical to the company's growth and success. In less than a decade, April has led Encompass' expansion from a single start-up location to a provider with more than forty home health care branches. April was critically involved in the design and development of the company's unique automation software, helping Encompass lead the way in home health technology.

April graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She is a CPA, beginning her career at Price Waterhouse. April moved into the home care industry in 1992 and soon became the owner and CEO of Liberty Health Services. April was the recipient of Ernst & Young's prestigious 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year award based on her creative and innovative approach to home health care.


Tracey Kruse
Chief Operating Officer

Tracey manages operations of over forty home care agencies as COO of Encompass. Her 25 years of experience in the health care industry and her commitment to quality and compliance ensure all agencies use sound and efficient methods.

Tracey started at Encompass in 1999 as the VP of Operations. She has helped the company achieve significant growth going from an average daily patient census of 500 to over 5,500. Prior to joining Encompass, she gained experience as the Director of Operations for Home Health Corporation of America and Medical Air Supply.

She began her career in the health care industry as a Licensed Respiratory Therapist after earning a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin.


Guy Conces
Chief Information Officer

As CIO of Encompass, Guy maintains the company's sophisticated technical infrastructure that ensures our patients receive the most reliable care. He is also responsible for the development and implementation of new system features to ensure Encompass remains on the leading edge of home health technology.

Guy has 25 years of experience in information technology, ten of which focus specifically on health care technology management. His roles as CIO at Rehab Centers of America and VP Clinical Development at Vencor (now Kindred Healthcare) brought him invaluable knowledge of complex software development and project management.

Guy received his MBA from Bellarmine University, and an Engineering degree from Cornell University.


Bob Thompson
Chief Financial Officer

As the CFO of Encompass, Bob's sound and strategic financial planning ensure Encompass is here to stay.

Bob has more than twenty years of senior executive finance experience in the public sector. He was the Executive VP and CFO for Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc., a consolidator of 27 television markets, and at Paging Network, Inc., a billion-dollar company in the wireless communications sector. He also worked as an audit manager at Ernst & Young.

Bob is a CPA, a member of the Texas Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. He graduated from the University of Texas.


Jennifer Polak
Vice President of Finance

As Vice President of Finance for Encompass, Jennifer manages the daily operations of the accounting and billing departments which includes monthly financial analysis, due diligence and integration of new acquisitions.  Her experience ensures the company is able to employ sound and proactive financial strategies.

Jennifer brings over a decade of home health care experience to the accounting department.  She joined Encompass in 1998 and has helped the company grow from its inception to a provider with over $100 million in annualized revenues.

Prior to joining Encompass Jennifer was Director of Finance for Liberty Health Services.   Jennifer began her career at Price Waterhouse specializing in the health care industry.  Jennifer is a CPA with a degree from the University of Texas. 


Dan Peoples
Vice President of Sales and Marketing

As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Dan helps to develop and implement Encompass’ strategic positioning and growth strategies so we remain a key industry player.

Dan has extensive experience in leading companies to achieve growth in their current market and has a particular interest in start-up companies.  He and five other investors formed Taylor Medical, Inc. which grew from approximately $5 million in revenue to over $150 million in seven years.  In 1995, they sold Taylor Medical, Inc. to Physician Sales and Service, Inc. (PSSI) and, in effect, made them the largest physician supply company in the United States.  Dan also started Home Care Supply, Inc. along with four other investors and grew that company to the largest privately held durable medical equipment company in the United States in just five years.

Dan received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University where he also played football for four years. 


Luke James
Vice President of Business Development

Luke’s responsibilities include things such as identifying target markets and sourcing acquisition targets within those markets, coordination of due diligence process and review, definitive agreement negotiations as well as receiving board approval on target opportunities.

Since joining Encompass in 2004 Luke has been involved in the completion of over 20 transactions totaling more than $100M in acquired revenue throughout the states of TX, OK, CO and NM. By utilizing sound judgment and through his disciplined approach to the acquisition process he ensures that Encompass takes on as little risk as possible in executing its integral acquisition strategy.

Luke received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Abilene Christian University.


David E. Brown
Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel

At Encompass, we are dedicated to the highest ethical behavior in all aspects of our business. As CCO and General Counsel, David directs our HIPAA and corporate compliance programs for all Encompass agencies to ensure we are proactively pursuing the highest level of quality patient care. He also provides all legal advice and guidance in transactions, corporate and business matters and employment law.

David is a former Trustee of the Texas Hospital Association, Chairman of the Texas Psychiatric Hospital constituency for THA and Co-Chairman of THA's Counsel on Policy Development.

David received his Bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University, a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University, and his Juris Doctor degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. He is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives and a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and Health Care Compliance Association.


Andrew Ingram
Vice President of Operations

Andy is responsible for the company’s day to day operating activities.  In this capacity he works closely with corporate, regional, and local leadership on expense, cost, and margin control; monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goals; and regulatory compliance at the state and federal level.  He is responsible for the successful integration of newly acquired agencies and supports organic company growth.

He has over 20 years of healthcare experience serving as Regional Vice President of Operations for Apria Healthcare, Vice President of Operations for Home Care Supply, Regional Manager of Distribution for McKesson Healthcare, and Director of Operations for Physician Sales and Service.  In these roles he was responsible for improving productivity, efficiency, and quality; enhancing customer service; and improving operational performance and profitability.

Andy is a graduate of Florida State University with a degree in Economics.


Mary Jo Mixtacki
Vice President of Clinical Services

Mary Jo is responsible for the overall quality of the clinical services we provide. She brings an unmatched level of expertise in field operations with more than 25 years of clinical and managerial experience.

Prior to joining Encompass in 2000, Mary Jo worked with Price Waterhouse Coopers and Tenet Healthcare. She was also the Director of Home Health Systems for Condell Medical Center.

Mary Jo started her career in home health as a field nurse in Chicago, Illinois. She is a Registered Nurse holding an MBA from Northeastern Illinois University.


Judee Barrett
Director of Specialty Sales

Judee is responsible for the development, implementation and growth of Encompass’ specialty programs.  She focuses on guiding the sales strategies around the specialty programs to enhance market share and ensures they are cutting edge programs which drive exceptional clinical outcomes for our patients.

Judee has worked in the home health industry for over 8 years and prior to joining Encompass held the position of National Director of Orthopedics where she was instrumental in driving a successful Orthopedic Program in the home health market.

Judee began her career as a licensed physical therapist treating patients in a variety of settings.  She graduated from the University of Texas and also received her Masters of Physical Therapy at Texas Women’s University in Houston.


Gracie Davis
Director, Encompass Development Center

Gracie is responsible for ensuring that the educational needs of all Encompass agencies are met by overseeing the development, enhancement and delivery of all educational programs through the Center, compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements, and improvement of employee retention and development. Gracie is responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to quality of care and best practice guidelines, ethical standards and protocols, and corporate standards.  Gracie impacts employee retention and patient outcomes through patient and employee education and through the activities of the Center.

Gracie has been with Encompass Home Health in a leadership role for 10 years and has worked as a Director of Education, Administrator and Regional Director for multiple agencies.   She came to Encompass with a history of acute care and long term care nursing with extensive experience with Medicare and Joint Commission Regulatory Guidelines.  She has received Highest Program Average award, All America Scholar Award, as well as Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges.


Janice Green
Regional Vice President

Janice oversees home care operations for our North Texas region. She has over 18 years experience as a registered nurse in home health where she has functioned in many leadership roles such as Administrator to Chief Clinical Officer.  Janice’s experience includes agency startups, acquisitions, Medicare and Medicaid compliance in over 6 states.  She has also gained experience in Pediatrics and Community Care programs as a previous owner of a homecare agency servicing the DFW area.

Janice graduated from Lamar University and has also served on theTexas Association of Homecare Clinical Committee where she participated as a  guest speaker on Effective Case Management in Homecare.  Janice has also earned a certification as a Certified Homecare Executive.


Lisa Cahill
Regional Vice President

Lisa oversees home care operations for our Oklahoma region. She became a part of our team in 2004 when HealthCare Innovations joined Encompass Home Health. At the time, she had served as the VP of Clinical Services for HCI for four years.

Lisa began working in home health as an IV nurse and then as a Registered Nurse / Case Manager. Her ensuing role as Regional Administrator for a home health agency focused on new agency startups, acquisitions, JCAHO accreditation and Medicare compliance. Lisa continued her clinical career as the Regional VP of Operations for Amedisys, where she was responsible for clinical services in multiple states.

Prior to entering home health, Lisa gained experience as a Registered Nurse in oncology, chemo team, chemical dependency/psych and med-surgical flex pool.
