Chief Executive Officer
April founded Encompass in 1998 as her second successful home health venture. She has brought the company to the forefront of the home care industry through her strategic guidance, principled leadership, and overriding passion of caring for the elderly and medically fragile.
Her extensive knowledge in home care management and operations has been critical to the company's growth and success. In less than a decade, April has led Encompass' expansion from a single start-up location to a provider with more than forty home health care branches. April was critically involved in the design and development of the company's unique automation software, helping Encompass lead the way in home health technology.
April graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She is a CPA, beginning her career at Price Waterhouse. April moved into the home care industry in 1992 and soon became the owner and CEO of Liberty Health Services. April was the recipient of Ernst & Young's prestigious 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year award based on her creative and innovative approach to home health care.
Tracey
Kruse
Chief Operating Officer
Tracey manages operations of over eighty home care agencies as COO of Encompass. Her 25 years of experience in the health care industry and her commitment to quality and compliance ensure all agencies use sound and efficient methods.
Tracey started at Encompass in 1999 as the VP of Operations. She has helped the company achieve significant growth going from an average daily patient census of 500 to over 10,000. Prior to joining Encompass, she gained experience as the Director of Operations for Home Health Corporation of America and Medical Air Supply.
She began her career in the health care industry as a Licensed Respiratory Therapist after earning a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin.

Chief Information Officer
As CIO of Encompass, Guy maintains the company's sophisticated technical infrastructure that ensures our patients receive the most reliable care. He is also responsible for the development and implementation of new system features to ensure Encompass remains on the leading edge of home health technology.
Guy has 25 years of experience in information technology, ten of which focus specifically on health care technology management. His roles as CIO at Rehab Centers of America and VP Clinical Development at Vencor (now Kindred Healthcare) brought him invaluable knowledge of complex software development and project management.
Guy received his MBA from Bellarmine University, and an Engineering degree from Cornell University.
Bob
Thompson
Chief Financial Officer
As the CFO of Encompass, Bob's sound and strategic financial planning ensure Encompass is here to stay.
Bob has more than twenty years of senior executive finance experience in the public sector. He was the Executive VP and CFO for Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc., a consolidator of 27 television markets, and at Paging Network, Inc., a billion-dollar company in the wireless communications sector. He also worked as an audit manager at Ernst & Young.
Bob is a CPA, a member of the Texas Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. He graduated from the University of Texas.
David E. Brown
Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel
At Encompass, we are dedicated to the highest level of quality patient care and ethical conduct in all aspects of our business. David directs the comprehensive Corporate Compliance/HIPAA Programs and serves as legal counsel to the agencies and management staff on a variety of operational issues.
David received his Bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University, a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University, and his Juris Doctor degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. David is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives and a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and Health Care Compliance Association.
Bud Langham
Chief Clinical Officer
As Chief Clinical Officer for Encompass Home Health, Bud is focused on improving clinical services and patient outcomes to ensure the company lives up to its mission statement of "A Better Way to Care". Bud has been with Encompass for three years and started out as a Specialty Program Manager, then assumed the position of Director of Therapy Services. He has leadership experience in a variety of acute and post-acute settings, including hospital services, outpatient and inpatient rehab services, as well as skilled nursing.
Bud graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center with a BS in Physical Therapy in 1999, then earned an MBA from the OU Price College of Business in 2005. Bud is a member of the APTA and a regular contributor to The Quarterly Report, an APTA publication focused on home health practice. He resides in Dallas with his wife Jill and their two boys Nathan and Matthew.
Dan Peoples
Executive Vice President of Sales
As Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Dan helps to develop and implement Encompass' strategic positioning and growth strategies so we remain a key industry player.
Dan has extensive experience in leading companies to achieve growth in their current market and has a particular interest in start-up companies. He and five other investors formed Taylor Medical, Inc. which grew from approximately $5 million in revenue to over $150 million in seven years. In 1995, they sold Taylor Medical Group, Inc. to Physician Sales and Service, Inc. (PSSI) and, in effect, made them the largest physician supply company in the United States. Dan also started Home Care Supply, Inc. along with four other investors and grew that company to the largest privately held durable medical equipment company in the United States in just five years.
Dan received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University where he also played football for four years.
Luke James
Vice President of Business Development
As Vice President of Business Development for Encompass, Luke’s responsibilities include things such as identifying target markets and sourcing acquisition targets within those markets, coordination of due diligence process and review, definitive agreement negotiations as well as receiving board approval on target opportunities.
Since joining Encompass in 2004 Luke has been involved in the completion of over 20 transactions totaling more than $100M in acquired revenue throughout the states of TX, OK, CO and NM. By utilizing sound judgment and through his disciplined approach to the acquisition process he ensures that Encompass takes on as little risk as possible in executing its integral acquisition strategy.
Luke received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Abilene Christian University.
