Encompass Acquires Guardian Home Care & Hospice
Dallas, Texas, February 9, 2012 – Encompass Home Health is pleased to announce the addition of Guardian Home Care & Hospice. Encompass will expand their service area in Idaho with the addition of three home health and two hospice agencies, making them the largest home health agency and second-largest hospice agency in Idaho. The addition of one home health agency in Oregon will expand their footprint into a seventh state.
Guardian Home Care & Hospice was established in 2009, consolidating several smaller Medicare-certified home health and hospice agencies in southern Idaho and eastern Oregon. They currently have approximately 275 home health patients and 35 hospice patients on service, and a strong employee base with approximately 135 full-time, part-time & PRN employees. Under the day-to-day operational leadership of Duke VanCampen, the company has experienced growth and built a great reputation in the community, which will support the Encompass mission of A Better Way to Care.
